they arent bad. its just one of those archetypes where monster tech is the whole archetype.

i want to see if you have the ftk/otk variant of the deck possibly

Castel > 101

that's true for some but if your opponent can recycle resources then you wasted castel

Okay, that may be true, but castel is still the better card in so many different ways.

I prefer 101 over. I mean I run both cause they're excellent but sometimes that detach from 101 that prevents it from destroying is sometimes crucial. Also as slimboy said, I don't like to castel if my opponent recycle easily.

Depends on the situation. i usualy like to get 101 as a tank in the begining stages of the game if i need more time to get my combos going. After all as Lux said that detach is crucial. Castel for me is best used at a later stage of a game when you need to clear the field of your opponents big guys and go for your moves. Used in the begining against decks like Satellarknights is yeah well most of the times useless, so timing on Castel is everything. He as well as 101 with his taking control effect are win moves or save your skin moves. Thats why i think that both card are almost a must have in all meta and non-meta xyz usable decks ))
