constellars breakdown
breakdown of what MY thoughts on constellars are and used for. now this is opinion based with me testing out and how I have experience with the cards. now if you want to refute or argue a case for a card then you can and If I update this I will add it in now im not adding any other arch types except satellar because of diamond this is a breakdown of what constellar cards can be used for and how they can support each other. now if people want me to update this in future with different supports constellars can have I will but right now this focuses on pure constellar. also if this confuses you ill try to update this where its more understandable.
this is to long and i only explained about each cards and not how to build a deck around these guys but really should i tell you how to build decks or let you experiment on your own i might update in the future explaining different support cards can be used and how you should build the deck. well maybe i am beat ill see you dudes later bye!
- effect monster lvl1-2:
- lvl 1/ light/ effect/ fairy
If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn: You can target 1 "Constellar" monster you control or in your Graveyard; this card's Level becomes the current Level of that monster. This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon, except for the Xyz Summon of a "Constellar" monster.
this level one can be used to summon any constellar xyz you want and has an cyber dragon effect so when your monster zone is empty but your opponent has a monster then you can special summon this little dude. now his potential is that this little dude can copy another constellars level if its on the field or in the graveyard which can make an easy late game monster to pick back up the game or a second turn friend that allows you to xyz if you only have Pollux in your hand or another constellar that doesn’t bring another monster to the field. but the downside of this card is that this card cannot be used in the summon of an xyz monster that is not constellar so not to great in support for other archetypes or when you need to summon a non constellar xyz but still a useful support in this archetype. most I run would be 2 if not 1.
constellar Rasalhague
900/100
lvl 2/ light/ effect/ spellcaster
You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Constellar" monster from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position, except "Constellar Rasalhague".
the nice and level 2 support is one of my favorites since this little guy can special summon dead constellars or higher level constellars from your hand that you would normally have to tribute summon for. this guy is great late game especially with constellar sombre to pull some ridiculous combos but can in some ways be dead weight in hand early game. I will let you guys test him out yourself and see what different shenanigans this card can pull for you. great support monster in the constellars archetype but has drawback of only special summoning in defense position so is one drawback this card has so I mostly run is 2 personally.
- constellars lvl 3:
- constellar Aldebaran
1300/800
lvl 3/ light/ effect/ beast-warrior
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 3 "Constellar" monster from your hand.
my thoughts on this card is that it's not great but if your focusing on level 3 constellars then this card can be useful but with its few choices of monsters to summon is not the best constellar out there and is sadly probably not used much.
constellar Leonis
1000/1800
lvl 3/ light/ effect/ beast
During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 "Constellar" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)
a decent constellar that does not have the drawbacks of must other constellars that is in the level 3-4 range with his ability to gain another normal summon once per turn he can be one of your main supports for your constellar decks though since he is level 3 he is not as much use as his higher level brother Pollux but can work great with his level 3 peers to summon and search. food support but if you use Pollux this card is not to useful since they cannot use their effects together so if im not running Pollux ill run 3 but it is a harder card to run then Pollux since there are less choices of xyz monster to use.
constellar sheratan
900/1900
lvl 3/ light/ effect/ beast
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Constellar" monster from your Deck to your hand.
the last of the three level 3 constellar monsters and its probably the most helpful since it lets you bring any constellar from deck to hand so is very handy to have. another strong point for this card is that it does not have a level 4 counterpart which make this guy more useful then leonis but is still hard to use for xyz summons. great support and the only drawbacks is his attack and his need to be normal summoned to use his effect.
tip is if you somehow have all level 3 constellars in hand you can summon each one while also being able to use each effect by summoning aldebaren then activating effect to summon Leonis then Leonis effect to summon Sheraton to search through deck to find another constellar.
- constellars lvl4:
- constellar pollux
1700/600
lvl 4/ light/ effect/ warrior
During the turn this card was Normal Summoned, you can Normal Summon 1 "Constellar" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)
one of the stars of the constellar archetype allowing you to normal summon another time this turn but he must be normal summoned to use this effect and also does not work with Leonis so pretty much the most known constellar monster. one of the main supports in this deck. I usually run three unless im running Leonis then at most im running one.
constellar algiedi
1600/1400
lvl 4/ light/ effect/ spellcaster
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 "Constellar" monster from your hand.
the counterpart to Aldebaran with the same problem but level 4 but luckily they're more selection with level 4 monster then level 3. basically my thought is decent support to get out xyzs but that is about it. I personally don’t run this card but if i did I would run it at 2.
constellar acubens
800/2000
lvl 4/ light/ effect/ machine
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: All "Constellar" monsters you currently control gain 500 ATK.
well another level 4 but can be used but it doesn’t support the deck in xyz and if you do xyz summon you would normally summon him before the xyz is summoned so personally I see this card as pointless but if you want to shock someone this card would do it. I personally run 0
constellar kaus
1800/700
lvl 4/ light/ effect/ beast-warrior
Cannot be used as a Synchro Material. Up to twice per turn: You can target 1 "Constellar" monster on the field, then activate 1 of these effects;
● Increase its Level by 1.
● Reduce its Level by 1.
kaus is one of the best field supports in that It can boost constellars level up by one two times per turn so easily one of the best xyz supports this cards it has and it doesn’t run on the normal summon effect which makes this card better. personally I would run 3
constellar Sombre
1550/1600
lvl 4/ light/ effect/ fairy
You can only use each effect of "Constellar Sombre" once per turn. While this card is in the Graveyard, if it was sent there this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Constellar" monster for 1 less Tribute.
You can banish 1 "Constellar" monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 "Constellar" monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand, also, this card gains the following effect.
● This turn: You can activate this effect; Normal Summon 1 "Constellar" monster.
the most annoying constellar to face personally since its so diverse and has a lot if combos you can pull with other constellars and also allows you to normal summon the higher level constellars for no tributes while another ability is to get back a constellar from the graveyard at the cost of banishing another while also gaining the ability to normal summon again and the kicker for this extra normal summon if used before Leonis or Pollux then you get their extra normal summon to. there are a few drawbacks to this card since for you to get the first effect you need to send him to the graveyard while the second effect has to be used while he is on the field and his second summon cannot activate unless you have used his 2nd effect this turn. good supporting card for constellars while also the most annoying I would run at the minimum three.
- constellars lvl5-6:
- constellar virgo
2300/1600
lvl 5/ light/ effect/ fairy
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 5 "Constellar" monster from your hand in face-up Defense Position.
one of the 2 level 5 monsters this archetype contains which makes this guys eff even worse then his level 3 counterpart but he still can be used but he must be tribute summon also since they're only 2 level 5 constellars you can use his eff to summon Pleiades but that is about it with this card. I would run 1-2 if I used this card at all.
constellar zubeneschamali
2100/1400
lvl 5/ light/ effect/ machine
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Constellar" monster from your Deck to your hand.
now this guy here is a decent level 5 counterpart to the level 3 Sheraton but with the ability to use his effect with special summoning him means you can use this guy with virgo, and rasalhague to search your deck for constellars. I would run him at 2 unless your making a constellar deck with level 4 and below then I would say none.
constellar alrescha
2200/1200
lvl 6/ light/ effect/ warrior
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Constellar" monster from your hand in face-up Defense Position.
now a level 6 constellar which is just like his level 5 counterpart summons the monster in defense but luckily for this guy he can special summon any constellar you have in your hand which is the only upside this card has at being level 6 you have to tribute to summon him unless you sent sombre to the graveyard the turn you normal summon him. now if I ran this dude I would run him at 1-2 but I don’t so I run none of this card in my deck right now.
constellar antaris
2400/900
lvl 6/ light/ effect/ machine
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 "Constellar" monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.
the last constellar monster that can be put in the main deck and also a good monster since he allows you to bring a monster from your grave if you normal or special summon him and well what else is there to say except combos which ill allow you to figure out. I normally run 2 in my decks.
- constellars xyz:
- constellar Hyades
1900/1100
rank 3/ light/ xyz/ beast-warrior
2 Level 3 LIGHT monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; change all monsters your opponent controls to face-up Defense Position.
well the only rank 3 constellar monster we have and his effect is not to promising but he can help you get through strong attack monsters that have low defense. I run none but should probably run 1-2 since it can help summon Ptolemy m7.
constellar omega
2400/500
rank 4/ light/ xyz/ beast-warrior
2 Level 4 LIGHT monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; all "Constellar" monsters you currently control are unaffected by Spell/Trap effects this turn.
most used constellar xyz I believe since he used in satellar knight decks but he can help you get out of sticky situations like snatch steal and a few others basically your spell and trap cover for your constellar monsters. I would run 2 since he is a useful card.
constellar praesepe
2400/800
rank 4/ light/ xyz/ machine
2 Level 4 "Constellar" monsters
Once per turn, during the Damage Step of either player's turn, when a "Constellar" monster you control is attacking or being attacked: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; that monster gains 1000 ATK, until the End Phase.
the other rank 4 constellar monster that is an offensive support by giving a constellar monster 1000 attack once per turn during the damage step of either players turn the downside if your using another archetype or using an engine you can use those cards with xyz summon of this card. I would run 1-2 of this monster.
constellar Pleiades
2500/1500
rank 5/ light/ xyz/ warrior
2 Level 5 LIGHT monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field; return that target to the hand.
the rank 5 xyz of the constellars. this monster effect pretty much explains itself with the ability to bounce cards from the field to hand you can get rid of many annoying threats in the meta these days also can be useful with mind crush and other cards that make your opponent get rid of cards from the hand. I would run 2 of these.
constellar Ptolemy m7
2700/2000
rank 6/ light/ xyz/ machine
2 Level 6 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Constellar" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material, other than "Constellar Ptolemy M7". (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If you do, its effect cannot be activated this turn. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 monster on the field or in either player's Graveyard; return that target to the hand.
the big boss of the constellars with his ability he can summon himself on any constellar xyz except himself also like Pleiades he can send a card to hand but he can reach into the graveyard and bring them back but unlike Pleiades he can only bring back monsters. I would run 2 at the least.
stellarknight constellar diamond
2700/2000
rank 5/ light/ xyz/ warrior
3 or more Level 5 LIGHT monsters
During your Main Phase 2, you can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "tellarknight" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material, except "Stellarknight Constellar Diamond". (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) While this card has Xyz Material, neither player can send cards from the Deck to the Graveyard, and any card that returns from the Graveyard to the hand is banished instead. During either player's turn, when an opponent's DARK monster activates its effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that activation, and if you do, destroy it.
the xyz that is not just a constellar monster. a stellarknight he brings along the ability to block dark typpe effects and to stop both players from returning cards to hand from graveyard while also stopping both players in sending cards from the deck to graveyard. idk how many or if you should run it.
- spells/traps:
- well I won't tell you not to run these but here's some more support in the archetype
constellar star chart
spell/ continues
Once per turn, when a "Constellar" Xyz Monster(s) is Special Summoned to your side of the field (except during the Damage Step): You can draw 1 card.
my thoughts on this card is that a continuous spell that rewards you for summoning constellar xyz by letting you draw an extra card when summoned and only once per turn.
constellar belt
spell/ continuous
The activation of LIGHT monsters' effects cannot be negated.
well I don’t know what to say since it kinda is a constellar card but can be used in any light oriented deck.
constellar tempest
spell/ continuous
During your End Phase: You can target 2 "Constellar" Xyz Monsters you control that have Xyz Materials; detach all Xyz Materials from those 2 Xyz Monsters, and if you do, halve your opponent's Life Points. You can only use this effect of "Constellar Tempest" once per Duel.
During your Standby Phase: You can target 1 "Constellar" Xyz Monster you control and 1 "Constellar" monster in your Graveyard; attach that monster in the Graveyard to that Xyz Monster as Xyz Material.
well sadly an ocg card so if you only use constellars in tcg then this is sad but it's an interesting card that actually supports the archetype well
constellar star cradle
spell/ normal
Target 2 "Constellar" monsters in your Graveyard; add those targets to your hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card.
well a card that lets you bring two constellars from the grave to hand at the cost of this turns battle phase.
constellar twinkle
spell/ normal
Target 1 "Constellar" monster you control; increase its Level by 1 or 2. If this card is in the Graveyard: You can banish 1 "Constellar" monster from your Graveyard; add this card from the Graveyard to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Constellar Twinkle" once per turn.
well kaus in spell form decent card and is reusable but what else is there to say.
constellar meteor
trap/ normal
During the turn this card is activated, if an opponent's monster battles a "Constellar" monster, and the opponent's monster is not destroyed, shuffle it into the Deck at the end of the Damage Step.
well the only trap in this archetype and its underwhelming since their many outside trap cards that do this job better or with less hazard to you though it is interesting that there shuffles back into the if not destroyed.
this is to long and i only explained about each cards and not how to build a deck around these guys but really should i tell you how to build decks or let you experiment on your own i might update in the future explaining different support cards can be used and how you should build the deck. well maybe i am beat ill see you dudes later bye!

the second day was putting my opinion in them but i ran out of steam st the spell/trap section but theirs not much to say opinion wise on those.
so truthfully worked 5 hours writing this and if their was no spell check then i would not have got it done.

Re: constellars breakdown
well its not a build but if it somehow comes to 40 cards ill be amazed but why i posted this is to show people each card and even if a card is bad that it should be recognized which i noticed in a previous constellar guide only told you how to build constellars in a certain way. now im wondering if i should do another breakdown of an archetype? does anyone have any ideas also don't say heros because that is just a too big of group... but seriously i don't know what to breakdown so ideas would be great also admins can i make a thread somewhere for this and where?
